Introducing 2025 IMPACT Symposium

On February 26, 2025, Northeastern University will host the IMPACT Symposium in Boston—an in-person and livestreamed event where Master’s and Professional Doctorate students present their work, receive feedback, engage with industry leaders, and expand their professional networks. This annual symposium serves to amplify the impact of student academic experiences by highlighting their contributions to society.

The symposium aims to fill a crucial gap by providing a platform for students across colleges to showcase their achievements and community impact. With over 60 student posters, this year’s event celebrates the interdisciplinary nature of the research presented—from fields such as computer science, public health, bioengineering, and more.

The event also features an outstanding lineup of speakers from diverse disciplines, offering fresh insights and inspiration. This year, we are honored to have John Warner, President and CEO of The Technology Greenhouse. As a pioneering leader in sustainable innovation, Warner focuses on creating scientific solutions that drive sustainability while fostering economic growth, advancing green chemistry, and promoting environmentally responsible technology.

We are also pleased to welcome Allen Arseneau, Founder & Head of AI at Transformly AI; Max Shepherd, Assistant Professor at Bouvé College of Health Sciences; Ralph Johnson, Vice President of Informatics and Technology at The Leapfrog Group; Alena Robertson, BSA Manager at Grasshopper Bank; Thomas Alan Kwan, Vice President of Sustainability Research at Schneider Electric; and Richard I. Robinson, Associate Director of the GDC Synthetic Technologies Group at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, Inc.
