At Northeastern, we’re fortunate to engage with students from all over the world, bringing rich linguistic and cultural diversity into our classrooms and offices. As the second-largest host of international students, it’s important for faculty and staff to approach these interactions with an open, asset-based mindset. This workshop is designed to help you build on your current communication skills and develop new strategies for supporting multilingual students. Together, we’ll explore student perspectives, reflect on your own experiences, and share best practices for fostering student confidence and collaboration. You’ll leave with practical tools and techniques to enhance your communication, along with resources to help you and your students succeed. Let’s work together to create a more inclusive and empowering environment for all.
